Larry Cortright

For more than three decades, Larry Cortright has been helping people create better lives through financial planning and investment management. He is driven by his love for working toward solutions that will improve personal and financial lives. By focusing on the best interests of his clients and by listening carefully to their needs, Larry acts as a teacher, guide, and coach, helping them manage their finances more effectively.

As the son of a U.S. Air Force Officer, he and his family lived all over the world, and because of this, he became very good at meeting and befriending people. The result of this experience is Larry’s ability to be accessible and approachable to clients, removing any anxiety they have over financial matters and inspiring them to understand that there are solutions for most financial situations.

After completing high school and military service, Larry attended Virginia Commonwealth University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. Since then, Larry and his wife Donna have called Virginia home, where they live in Colonial Heights just outside Richmond, Virginia. When outside the office, Larry is actively involved in the music and youth programs at his church.  He is a member of Fly Fishers of Virginia, enjoying the great outdoors, and  focusing on conservation to preserve the environment for future generations. 

Larry’s wife Donna is a retired high school librarian who never met a stranger and, in his words, is a delight to be with. His two stepdaughters are incredible women, each on their own life journeys. Larry and Donna have two grandsons who keep them guessing what new adventures they will find. Their two God-daughters are public school teachers dedicated to helping their students find their way in life. Together, the family is dedicated to serving others.
